Julie (Abner '00) Donahue will direct Rosary's Fall Musical with Mrs. Carron
Rosary is excited to welcome back Julie (Abner ‘00) Donahue as the Director for Rosary’s Fall Musical! Mrs. Megan Carron will serve as producer, vocal director, and orchestra director.
Julie has more than 10 years professional performing experience spanning theaters across the U.S. and on international waters.
Some favorite performing credits include: All Shook Up (Natalie/Ed), Gypsy (Gypsy), Hairspray (Amber), Phantom (Christine), Sugar (Sugar), Grease (Marty), CATS (Demeter) and Lead Vocalist aboard the Regent Seven Seas Mariner.
Her favorite roles she is blessed to play every day is wife to Kyle and Mommy to their four precious children: Lulu, Lincoln, Finn & River.
Julie has dance training from the Rockford Dance Company, Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center (NYC) as well tap training with Broadway veterans Billye Kubiak and Brian J. Marcum.
While in Los Angeles and New York City, she worked in television and film including multiple independent films, Law and Order, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia & Iron Man 2.
Julie has choreographed for educational and professional stages including Rosary High School (Seussical 2012), Thunder Bay Theatre, Shawnee Playhouse, and Crown Uptown Dinner Theatre.
Julie holds a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Rockford College. Julie is a proud Rosary alum who loved being in all the Rosary and Marmion musicals!
The Fall Musical will be Mamma Mia! and performance dates are November 1-3, 2024. Audition will be in August for Rosary and Marmion students. Students are welcome to join the cast, crew, and pit orchestra. Mrs. Donahue and Mrs. Carron can’t wait to get started!
